DED has prepared the first draft of legislation
The Department of Economic Development of Dubai has prepared the 1st draft of Direct Selling legislation. The same has been sent to the Federal Government of UAE for approval and it is expected to be announced by the end of the year 2008. Many Direct Selling companies and distributors are desperately waiting for the legislation to be announced. During this period, the Direct Selling Educational Institute in Dubai is playing an important role educating both the companies as well as distributors on the very important topic of ethics and best practices.
DSEI held its introductory certification course on Friday 31st October where 350 delegates participated and learnt about DSEI vision, mission, objectives and were introduced to some the local faculty members. DSEI upcoming calendar of events will soon be announced. It aims to increase the professionalism of the Direct Selling industry in the UAE and to educate the distributors about ethical practices.
